Restore access to your own energy and vibrancy
Understanding Auric Restoration
-
One of the highest compliments we can give someone is to say that they have integrity. But what does that mean? For me, it means that they are fully integrated, that they have access to all of their own resources, they see the bigger picture and they embody wholeness.
The aura is quite resilient but it can be injured, which can leave the field vulnerable. Injuries and especially surgeries can create particular challenges in the auric field. Auric restoration can effectively address these wounds which can then give you increased access to your own energy and vibrancy and restores your energetic integrity.

The aura is not a metaphor, it’s very real.
We each have a multi-layered field of energies surrounding our physical body extending out about 6 feet in the shape of a torus, a kind of rounded doughnut shape.
To some this may sound a bit “woo woo”, but just as the magnetic field of a magnet extends out beyond the physical magnet and the light from a fire radiates out, our energy body extends out beyond our physical body. This field is multi layered consisting of light, electromagnetic energies as well as subtle energies that we can sense but are just learning to measure.
The NIH has measured and verified the aura and refers to it as the biofield. I am old school, and usually say aura, but I may use the terms aura and biofield interchangeably.
The layers of the aura are both distinct and yet overlapping and connected. The auric layers have different structures and functions.

I work with many subtle energy systems including the meridians and chakras but my particular gift is working with the aura. My hands just “know” where the energy in the aura needs attention.
I think of myself as a triage practitioner meaning I do a quick assessment to see what presents as highest priority in the moment.
With any injury or surgery and especially whenever an organ or body part is removed, it leaves a hole, an open wound in the aura. Since the aura is the blueprint layer that gives rise to the physical body, it’s challenging for the body to rebuild and repair with a hole in the blueprint. It is therefore very important to repair the field after an injury or surgery, especially after an amputation, c-section or circumcision. Even having a tooth pulled leaves a wound in the aura.
The field is left vulnerable and energy can get in that shouldn’t and our energy, our very life force, can literally leak out. As with a physical wound, debris and other energetic entities can take up residence. The leaking energy is like a beacon that draws “lost” energy fragments in.
In most cases these auric wounds remain open, both leaking out vital life force and attracting unneeded and unwelcome energies and entities until the wound is specifically addressed.
For the wound to heal, we clear and clean it, releasing what is ready to go and reconnecting what has been disconnected.
-
We usually think of a personal boundary as a mental or psychological construct. I know that a healthy intact aura IS your perfect boundary. It lets in good energy and protects you from unwanted energy.

There are many names for this energy system but I like bodyguard. We each have our own personal bodyguard always working on our behalf to keep us safe and stable. This system runs the fight/flight/freeze responses, but its other job is “holder of habits”. Once something becomes a habit, this system hangs onto that habit. This is great because we don’t have to learn how to walk every time we want to get across the room or relearn how to drive every time we get in the car. But habits that may have served us in the short term, even saved our very lives, can be harmful, even destructive in the long term. The bodyguard must feel safe in order for it to “let it’s guard down” to allow for change and healing.
For our very survival, we are hardwired to be social creatures. Our greatest fears are of ostracism and abandonment. This is why if we do not feel safe, our bodyguard system can hide our injuries and weaknesses, even from ourselves. The bodyguard aspect can actually be protecting you from healing out of a belief that to change or to face our pain, is tantamount to death.
Dr. Gabor Mate, shares that as infants, we simply cannot self-regulate. We must co-regulate with a regulated other. So often, when we have a deep wound, we cannot self-regulate and we must co-regulate with a trusted other. When, as a healer, I hold a safe space, the bodyguard can relax and allow shifts, changes and healing.
There is much more to this concept than I can do justice to here.

The blueprint layer of the aura holds all the information that gives rise to the physical body. When a physical injury occurs, especially when a body part is removed or amputated, this leaves an open wound in the field and a tear or hole in the blueprint. Just as if a blueprint has holes in it, it is hard for the builder to know the architect’s plan for how to build a structure, the body cannot always put itself to rights or “rebuild” when the auric blueprint has holes or wounds.
In most cases these wounds remains open, both leaking out vital life force and attracting unneeded and even unwelcome energies and entities until the wound is specifically addressed.
-
Through our life experiences we can become disconnected from our own energy and from the energy of the earth.
There are systems that I think of as similar to circuit breakers. When we are overwhelmed, by stress or trauma, energy flow slows or shuts down as a protective mechanism, just as a circuit breaker is tripped by a power surge.
Getting those energies flowing again, resetting these “circuit breakers”, is just about always the first priority. Grounding, time in nature, meditation, etc., can often reset these pathways. When the “circuit breakers” are tripped, it can be difficult to ground or to heal. When they have been closed down for too long, they can be resistant to reopening.

I can help you get your energy into a better place but it may not hold without your consistent attention.
There are so, so many ways to bring healing to energetic imbalances and wounds, many of which you can do for yourself. I will help you learn ways to check in and balance your energies with simple and accessible exercises and tools.
After a session, the “work” continues as you integrate and re-assimilate. Whenever possible, take time for yourself after the session. An Epsom salt and baking soda soak is particularly helpful. In my experience, it can take as long as 2-3 weeks for a session to fully integrate.

Whether we work in person or work remotely, the session is pretty similar.
Remote sessions can be video or audio/phone.
If audio only, it is helpful to me to have of photo of you, one that you particularly like, to direct my focus.
I will ask what your intention is for our work together and what is top of mind for you today.
I incorporate Reiki into every session so to begin, I will trace the Reiki symbols, either with my hands or with my eyes. As I do so, I ask for divine guidance to direct our time together.
I often listen to and chant Sanskrit mantra during the session. This is both to amplify the energy and to keep my “monkey mind” busy and allow for a better flow of divine guidance. I am a conduit for the healing energy that your system is calling out for. If you find the mantra distracting or simply just don’t care for it, please let me know and I will chant silently.
I use several different assessment tools to get a sense of the energetic priority for the session. I use tools such as crystals, magnets or tuning forks but most often, I use my hands to sense and direct your energy.
In most cases, resetting the energetic circuit breakers is the priority. Then we can see where to focus next.
Work in any energy system can help to balance and stabilize the whole, but there is usually an “order of operations” that will direct us. I allow myself to be guided to which system needs attention first.
Sometimes this is in meridian or chakra work before we can move into auric work. Just as sometimes a scaffold needs to be built to do tricky repairs, we may need to stabilize the energies in a particular order. So even if your intention is to address a specific issue, it may require multiple session before your energy is ready for us to “go there”.
As we wrap up, I will suggest homework in the form of energy exercises to help the changes hold and anchor and to prepare for our next session.

Energy work is powerful and profound. Practitioner and client must have mutual trust. I ask that each client takes responsibility for their own healing and well-being. This work is highly collaborative. When working in person, I will ask, when appropriate, if I have permission to touch you. You may always decline.
When someone’s energies are “reactive” and or “scrambled” they may not be able or willing to receive touch.
We can do the work, just as well and sometimes even better without touch, which is why remote sessions are possible and sometimes even more powerful and appropriate than working in person.
As we work together, it is your responsibility and obligation to let me know if you have questions, if you are uncomfortable, or if you need to pause or stop the session. I am quite intuitive but I also need your feedback.
Energy work can sometimes “open a can of worms”, that we don’t anticipate. In all but the most extreme cases, we are able to address what comes up within the session. It is very important to know that there may be difficult or painful memories, emotions or situations that can arise. I will always do my very best to get you to a stable place energetically before we end our session.
